Job summary

Frost Valley Partnership is seeking staff for the Activities Team to support Summer Camp Directors and Leadership in planning, participating, and implementing daily activities for day camp and overnight campers.

You will assist with check-in/check-out, luggage handling, and meal times, while modeling positive behavior and upholding Frost Valley values in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older by start of employment.
• Experience working with youth/teens in outdoor settings or eagerness to gain such experience.
• Ability to work long hours, including evenings and late nights.
• Able to adapt to sudden schedule changes and camper needs.
• Present a positive, lead-by-example role for kids and staff.
• Strong communication and group facilitation skills.
• Capable of multitasking and managing pressure as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for campers in loco parentis from arrival to departure.
• Create a safe, fun environment for campers in summer programs.
• Be an active team member, contribute opinions, take on delegated responsibilities.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers, directors, and staff.
• Model Frost Valley values and outdoor standards at all times.
• Ensure camp operations meet mission, goals, and customer expectations.
• Attend staff meetings and support camp activities as needed.
• Embrace the Frost Valley YMCA character values.
