Job summary

First Citizens Bank offers a summer internship in the Special Assets Division of the Commercial Bank, a hybrid role with time spent both in-office and remotely. The program aims to develop talent while providing hands-on experience in stressed and distressed C&I loans.

You will support day-to-day activities such as spreading financial statements, cash flow and ratio analysis, and risk reporting, with exposure to divisions like Telecom/Media/Tech, Aerospace, Maritime, and Energy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program).
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program.
• Rising college senior (preferred).
• Experience with financial statements (preferred).
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communications skills with desire to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Spread financial statements, analyze cash flow and financial ratios.
• Support risk reporting, impairment analysis, and viewing online risk tools.
• Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community events.
• Present a wrap-up project to division leaders at internship end.
