Job summary

Amegy Bank’s Summer Internship Program provides college students with hands-on experience in banking across commercial, business, and private segments, with rotations in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth/Arlington, and San Antonio. The paid internship includes industry research, client prospecting, credit presentations, and exposure to underwriting processes, with networking and professional development events.

Applicants should study Business or Economics, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and be able to work 40

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate major in Business or Economics (finance/accounting preferred).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Includes 6 hours of accounting courses.
• Must have completed junior year by May prior to start.
• Must graduate in December or May following the internship.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Conducting industry research
• Preparing client prospect lists
• Scheduling appointments with prospective clients
• Assisting with credit presentations
• Observing the process of spreading financial statements and underwriting loans
