Job summary

Amegy Bank’s 2027 Summer Internship Program offers college students hands-on exposure to the banking industry across Houston and Texas markets. Interns gain experience through hands-on assignments, trainings, and events, with rotations between lending groups depending on market.

Interns will network with executives, participate in professional development sessions, and receive a paid internship. Housing is not provided by the bank.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate major in Business or Economics (Finance/Accounting majors preferred).
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• 6 hours of accounting courses.
• Must have completed junior year undergraduate work by May prior to start of the internship.
• Must be scheduled to graduate in December or May directly following completion of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct industry research.
• Prepare client prospect lists.
• Schedule appointments with prospective clients.
• Assist with credit presentations.
• Observe the process of spreading financial statements and underwriting loans.
