Job summary

BDO Capital Advisors in Virginia is seeking an intern to support transaction-related services. The Intern will gain exposure to the M&A deal process, financial analysis, and deal materials under supervision, developing skills for a career in investment banking.

You will assist in building financial models, preparing pitch books, and researching industries. Enrolled in finance or accounting, preferred junior year completion, and strong MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, focus in Finance or Accounting, preferred.
• Completion of junior year of Bachelor’s, preferred.
• Leadership experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Constructs financial models focusing on transaction valuation work through comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, DCF and other metrics.
• Assists in the development of written documents including pitch books, offering memoranda, company marketing materials, management presentations and valuation reports.
• Performs quantitative and qualitative data and industry data analysis.
• Contributes to deal sourcing by researching new and prospective clients and industries to prepare memos.
• Other duties as required.
