You will work with Development Associates, Coordinators, and Principals on research, financial analysis, project tracking, development documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to advance projects forward.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business or Master's degree in Real Estate Development
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Interest in real estate, finance, business, construction, architecture, planning, economics, or a related field
• Ability to work in person in Tucson during the summer

Responsibilities

• Research: Gather, compile, and analyze market information to support project decisions.
• Analysis: Work with Excel-based financial analyses and learn how developers evaluate opportunities and project performance.
• Master Schedule & Project Tracking: Assist with schedules, due diligence activities, budgets, timelines, milestones, and project follow-up.
• Development Documentation: Gain exposure to contracts, leases, agreements, entitlement documents, and other materials that support development projects.

As a Summer Analyst Intern, you'll gain hands-on exposure to Bourn Companies' development teams and contribute to active projects while learning the fundamentals of real estate development. Development Team

The Summer Development Internship is designed as an introduction to the broader Development career path at Bourn Companies. As team members build their knowledge, experience, and ability to take ownership, opportunities for increased responsibility may include:

• Development Associate: Learn and complete fundamental real estate development tasks, including analysis, research, project tracking, and development processes.
• Development Coordinator: Organize and integrate development information and begin supporting the execution of development management responsibilities.
• Associate Development Principal: Take on day-to-day oversight of development projects, including design, budgets, schedules, and timelines.
• Development Principal: Lead projects at an executive level, hold key decision-making authority, and take responsibility for overall project outcomes.
