Job summary

Crystal Valley is seeking highly motivated Agronomy Sales Interns for summer months May to August at our Agronomy locations in south central Minnesota and northern Iowa. You will gain hands-on experience through mentorship, fieldwork, and real-world sales support, learning about products, services, and customer interactions.

You will assist with crop scouting, soil sampling, pest recommendations, inventory, seed duties, and warehouse procedures while building professional skills through training

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Ag Business, Crop Science, or another Agriculture-related program.
• Agricultural or Ag retail background.
• Previous internship experience desired.
• Willingness to work long hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic equipment operation skills.
• GWC (Get It, Want It, Capacity to Do).

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class customer service to farmers and agribusiness clients.
• Crop scout, identify pests, and create agronomic recommendations.
• Learn and use Agronomy and Precision Ag software.
• Assist with seed duties, delivery, sorting, and product returns.
• Assist with inventory management and warehouse procedures.
• Field experiences including soil sampling, plant tissue sampling and nutrient testing.
• Assist in aerial application operations and agronomy plant operations.
• Learn facilities maintenance and equipment operations.
• Apply integrated pest management best practices.
• Participate in internship networking and professional development opportunities.
• Attend training and continuing education opportunities.
