Job summary

Crystal Valley is seeking highly motivated Agronomy Sales Interns for the summer months of May to August at our Agronomy locations in south central Minnesota and northern Iowa. You will gain real-world experience through mentorship and hands-on work in crop scouting, pest identification, and agronomic recommendations.

The internship emphasizes learning Agronomy and Precision Ag software, providing valuable customer service, assisting with seed duties and inventory, and participating in field

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture related degree program
• Agricultural or Ag retail background
• Desire to serve farmers, agribusinesses and others involved in the agriculture industry
• Willingness to work long hours (weekends and holidays included)
• Basic equipment operation skills
• Must get it, want it, and have the capacity to perform (GWC)

Responsibilities

• Learn features and benefits of Crystal Valley's Agronomy products and services
• Work with Agronomy Sales to crop scout, identify crop pests and create agronomic recommendations
• Learn and utilize Agronomy and Precision Ag Software
• Provide first class customer service
• Assist with seed duties, delivery, sorting, and product returns
• Assist with inventory management and warehouse procedures
• Field experience with soil sampling, plant tissue sampling and nutrient testing
• Assist in aerial application business
• Assist with Agronomy plant operations
• Learn facilities maintenance and equipment operations
• Utilize integrated pest management best practices
• Attend training, professional development and continuing education opportunities
