Job summary

FS is seeking an Agronomy Intern for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience in agronomy operations and support farmer-member customers, including crop production, field scouting, and precision agriculture.

This internship, part of the GROWMARK program, includes mentorship, professional development, networking, a capstone project, travel to FS locations, and a 12-week schedule starting May 24, 2027.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification and in good academic standing at the start of the internship.
• Interest in agronomy, crop production, and agriculture.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Support agronomy operations for farmer-member customers.
• Learn crop production practices and agronomic recommendations.
• Conduct field scouting and collect field data.
• Assist with trials, plot work, and field demonstrations.
• Utilize precision agriculture tools for scouting and data collection.
• Support product inventory, ordering, receiving, and operations.
• Participate in customer visits and grower events.
• Travel to FS locations to build relationships.
• Adhere to safety, stewardship, and regulatory requirements.
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
