Job summary

Lakeville Area Public Schools is hiring Summer Adventures Assistants for the Summer Adventures program. Ten openings across multiple elementary locations with shifts of 8 hours per day, 32 hours per week, some Fridays.

Dates run June 5 through August 28, 2026. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $21.13 per hour, depending on experience. Casual summer roles are not benefit eligible. Locations include Cherry View, Lakeview, Lake Marion, and John F Kennedy Elementary.

Qualifications

  • Works directly with and supervises large and small groups of children in planned activities.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise mature judgment and manage children's behavior in a positive manner.
  • High school diploma plus Associates Degree or experience working with children in a child care or school setting.
  • Ages 18 and up
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification

Number of Openings: 10

Position Description/Qualifications:

  • Works directly with and supervises large and small groups of children in planned activities throughout a variety of settings, such as: classroom, cafeteria, gym, computer lab, playground and while on field trips.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise mature judgment and manage children's behavior in a positive manner.
  • High school diploma plus Associates Degree or experience working with children in a child care or school setting
  • Ages 18and up
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification

Schedule/Hours:

  • Program Dates - June 5through August 28, 2026.ClosedJune 19 & July 4
  • 8 hours per day.Shift start and end times vary by building
  • 32 hours per week plus some Fridays

  • Lakeview Elementary
  • Lake Marion Elementary
  • John F Kennedy Elementary

Salary:

  • $16.00 - $21.13per hour depending on experience
