Job summary

Penn State University is looking for Instructors for the 2025 Summer Academy (June 16–August 1) aimed at low-income, first-generation high school students.

Instructors will deliver in-person and virtual instruction, create lesson plans, and build meaningful relationships with students. A bachelor's degree in Education or related field is required, as well as a commitment to supporting underrepresented students. Pay is $25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least a bachelor's degree with relevant teaching experience or significant teaching assistant experience.
• Commitment to helping underrepresented students realize their potential.
• Current background check and appropriate clearances for minors required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specific content area instruction for effective learning.
• Attend professional development and orientation programming.
• Create a course scope and sequence related to the curriculum.
