Job summary

Welltower is offering a ten-week internship in FP&A focused on portfolio analysis and broader FP&A support. You will work directly with teams to evaluate opportunities, design solutions, and deliver long-term value with access to senior leadership.

The internship exposes you to the company’s data-driven finance culture, requiring you to participate in high-priority work from day one and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: current undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Finance, Real Estate, or Business Administration is preferred.
• Experience: previous internship and/or work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct variance analysis against forecasts and investigate material differences.
• Perform monthly data integrity and validation checks.
• Support ad hoc segment-level analysis.
• Create and maintain financial models.
• Collaborate with teams across the organization.
• Compile property- and portfolio-level financial data.
• Analyze financial statements and key performance metrics.
• Assist with facility-level forecasts and projections.
• Support preparation for quarterly earnings calls.
• Assess operator and tenant performance.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership through reports.

Summary & Key Responsibilities

The FP&A group is responsible for leading Welltower’s financial planning efforts, providing insights into both corporate and segment-level performance, and driving the adoption of innovative technology solutions that support a data-driven culture.

This internship will have a primary focus on portfolio analysis while supporting broader FP&A processes. Responsibilities include:

• Conducting variance analysis against forecasts and investigating material differences

Additional Responsibilities Include

• Assessing operator and tenant performance
• Presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership through systematic and ad hoc reporting
• Participating in regular performance review meetings with segment leadership
• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Education: Current undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Finance, Real Estate, or Business Administration is preferred.

Experience: Previous internship and/or work experience preferred.
