Job summary

Cerit y Partners seeks a Tax Intern for its 2027 Summer Internship in Cincinnati, OH. This paid role requires 30-40 hours weekly and offers hands-on tax experience during a dynamic internship program.

You will assist with federal, state, and local tax returns, support tax planning, and gain access to senior leaders in a collaborative, values-driven culture within Cerity Partners.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
• Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related business degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Applications.
• Active campus involvement or professional work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in financial planning and tax projects as assigned.
• Assist in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses using UltraTax CS.
• Create workpapers in Engagement Manager and SurePrep showing project work.
• Use FirmFlow and GoFileRoom to track workflow status.
• Research and analyze a range of tax issues.
• Support Tax Advisors and Administrators as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a team player with a positive attitude and the highest level of personal integrity to join our tax team as a Tax Intern for our 2027 Summer Internship program. This is a paid internship program (30-40 hours per week) and is designed to provide college students with an opportunity to enhance their formal education with a hands-on, career-related experience. This role is also ideal for someone looking for a part-time seasonal position in the financial industry at a nationally recognized registered investment advisory.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participate in financial planning and tax projects, as assigned
• Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local individual and business income tax returns in UltraTax CS (tax preparation software)
• Create workpapers in Engagement Manager (workpaper organization/preparation software) and SurePrep (workpaper organization/preparation software) that effectively tell the story of how projects were prepared
• Utilize FirmFlow (CRM/project management) and GoFileRoom (document storage) to maintain an accurate status of workflows
• Research and analyze a wide range of tax issues
• Other duties as requested by Tax Advisors and Tax Administrators

Required Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university with a minimum 3.2 GPA
• Majoring in Finance, Accounting, or related business degree
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Applications
• Actively participating in campus organizations, preferably within a leadership role, and/or professional work experience
