Job summary

Armanino invites interns to gain hands-on exposure to financial and IT audits, SOC and SOX engagements, and related projects in a dynamic firm environment. You will learn client systems, controls, and risk assessment while developing professional skills.

The internship emphasizes training, real client interaction, and growth opportunities within Armanino’s audit and advisory services.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master’s program in business with an emphasis in accounting.
• Plan to complete 150 semester/225 quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 – August 2028 is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world exposure to financial and IT audits, reviews, compilations, and projects.
• Learn the client’s system and control environment and how it impacts their associated customer users.
• Learn the client’s controls including general controls (i.e., financial operations, IT controls) and transactional controls (i.e., processing controls such as reconciliations).
• Learn to evaluate process risks, develop tests for key controls, and determine effectiveness of controls.
• Gain business acumen in a professional work environment.

This work will include tests or procedures performed under supervision that allow the Firm to collect sufficient evidence to assess whether the clients are up to date with the latest international organization reporting standards. You will help to ensure the completion of fieldwork related to client engagements including System and Organization Controls (SOC) audits, IT General Controls support, ISO Assessments, Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX), Internal Audits, and Agreed Upon Procedures engagements, and interact with clients to identify and resolve audit issues.
