Job summary

Armanino is seeking an accounting internship in Dallas to gain hands-on experience across financial and IT audits, SOCs, and related procedures. You will learn client systems, control environments, and test development under supervision.

Participating interns will engage in real engagements, with training and development opportunities and exposure to professional networks, while aligning work with CPA licensure timelines.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in business with an emphasis in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world exposure to financial and IT audits, reviews, compilations, and projects.
• Learn the client’s system and control environment and how it impacts their associated customer users.
• Learn the client’s controls including general controls (finance IT controls) and transactional controls (e.g., reconciliations).
• Learn to evaluate process risks, develop tests for key controls, and determine effectiveness of controls.
• Gain business acumen in a professional work environment.

This work will include tests or procedures performed under supervision that allow the Firm to collect sufficient evidence to assess whether the clients are up to date with the latest international organization reporting standards. You will help to ensure the completion of fieldwork related to client engagements including System and Organization Controls (SOC) audits, IT General Controls support, ISO Assessments, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Internal Audits, and Agreed Upon Procedures engagements, and interact with clients to identify and resolve audit issues.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in business with an emphasis in accounting

Preferred Qualifications

• Plan to complete 150 semester/225 quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 – August 2028 strongly preferred
