Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking interns to work with our engineering teams on real spaceflight projects across Aerospace Systems, Avionics, Electrical, GNC, Manufacturing, and Test Engineering. Interns will gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship, and participate in organizational events while contributing to ongoing missions.

Successful candidates have completed at least one prior Blue Origin internship, are U.S.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed at least one internship at Blue Origin.
  • U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter remaining after the internship.
  • Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for space.

As part of a hardworking team, interns work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects in support of our business units.

Projects include: Aerospace Systems Engineering, Avionics Software, Electrical Systems Engineering, GNC, Manufacturing Engineering, Structural & Mechanical Systems Engineering, and Test Engineering.

During your internship experience, you can expect to: Gain hands on, real-world experience. Receive mentorship and feedback from mentors and managers. Participate in events to learn about other parts of our organization.

Required Qualifications: Must have completed one internship at Blue Origin. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship. Completed at least one year of full-time coursework post high school graduation at the time of application (obtained sophomore standing). Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework. Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills. Passion for space.

Desired: We love to see hands-on and extracurricular engagement! Relevant internship/co-op and academic project experience that demonstrates development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities. Hands-on project experience. Experience with data processing.

Interns are responsible for daily transportation to and from their work locations.
