POSITION overview

As part of the program, interns will join a construction project management team and work under direct supervision from their assigned mentor(s) to provide support for bidding functions, project management, and construction supervision efforts. Tasks may include assisting in management and coordination of submittals, cost control, scheduling, reporting, and document control activities through various phases of the project. This program provides complete project life-cycle exposure, which includes pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities when applicable. In addition, interns will attend a variety of structured training classes and visit multiple active project sites. Intern compensation rate is $19 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Students working toward a 4-year construction or engineering related degree.
• Working knowledge of construction techniques, drawings and specifications, and building materials is a plus.
• Candidates must be self-motivated, adaptable and have the ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good communication skills and be highly collaborative.
