PACCAR’s Kenworth Division in Kirkland, WA offers a Summer 2027 Product Planning Internship to explore market research, cross-functional collaboration, and early-stage product development. Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting market research to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for new products or product improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, sales, and operations to support product development and launches.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and customer feedback to inform product decisions.
• Assist in the development of a forecasting tool.
• Learn the product development life cycle including design, prototyping, and testing.
• Assist with planning and implementing customer-focused research events.
• Demonstrate strong interest in the trucking industry and product planning.
• Apply data-driven insights to guide product decisions.
• Maintain flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requisition Summary

Kenworth Division of PACCAR is looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in gaining professional Product Planning experience in an industry-leading manufacturing company to join our internship Program in Kirkland, WA.

Internships are scheduled to begin May or June 2027

Job Functions / Responsibilities

This position will be working on various projects and reports to include but not limitedto:

• Assist in conducting market research to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for new products or product improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, sales, and operations, to help ensure successful product development and launch
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competition, and customer feedback to inform product decisions
• Assist in the development of a forecasting tool
• Learn about the product development life cycle and product development process, including design, prototyping, and testing.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of customer-focused research events
• Strong interest in the trucking industry and product planning
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform product decisions
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Knowledge of or some experience in Human Centered Design
• Comfortable and effective in interacting with managers, co-workers, and customers
• Strong professionalism

Education
