Job summary

Armanino LLP is offering an IT audit internship designed to expose you to fieldwork related to client engagements including SOC audits and HITRUST, cyber security, ISO, and Sarbanes‑Oxley reviews. You’ll interact with clients to identify and resolve audit issues and gain hands‑on experience with professionals at all levels.

The role emphasizes learning with 50% project work, 10% client facing, and 11 paid holidays, starting June 15, 2026, in a supportive, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program in business, accounting, finance, economics, information systems or equivalent – MIS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Gain real‑world exposure to IT audits, reviews, compilations, and projects.
  • Learn the client's platform structure and control environment to evaluate process risks, develop tests for key controls, write audit reports and determine effectiveness of controls.
  • Perform audits, reviews, compilations, and various audit/consulting engagements including ISO, cybersecurity, SOC I, SOC II, etc.
  • Interpret and analyze audit evidence, operational data and information systems and draw logical conclusions based on evidence submitted.
  • Participate in live interviews with C‑Suite clients to understand current state processes.
  • Know and apply specialized knowledge of ethics and standards (AICPA, ISACA, IIA) and applicable laws.

You will be exposed to fieldwork related to client engagements including System and Organization Controls (SOC) audits, IT General Controls support, HITRUST Cyber Security Framework, cyber security assessments, ISO assessments, Sarbanes‑Oxley, internal audits, and agreed upon procedures engagements, and interact with clients to identify and resolve audit issues.

  • Know and apply specialized knowledge, for example, the rules, regulations, and code of ethics of the AICPA, and the AICPA, ISACA, IIA, and applicable state regulations
Requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in business, accounting, finance, economics, information systems or equivalent – MIS preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Plan to complete 150 semester/225 quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure eligibility between December 2025 – August 2026 strongly preferred

The compensation range for this position: $33.00/hour. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long‑term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
