Job summary

The Summer Intern will be a member of the Los Angeles Production team responsible for supporting the procurement, marketing, processing, and closing of commercial real estate financing transactions. • Analyze financial statements, rent rolls, operating statements, and appraisals.
• Support due diligence processes, including lease audit and third-party report reviews.
• Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal and client use.
• Track and monitor deal pipelines and market activity.

Summer 2027 Internship - Production Management Team - Los Angeles

The Summer Intern will be a member of the Los Angeles Production team responsible for supporting the procurement, marketing, processing, and closing of commercial real estate financing transactions. The Summer Intern Program will introduce you to BWE, the capital markets industry, and our outstanding professionals. Program participants will receive exposure to various asset classes, clients, capital sources, deal structuring, negotiation tactics, market trends, and financial models. In addition, interns will have the opportunity to interact with strategic partners, lenders, and vendors of BWE exposing them to other areas such as property management, leasing and investment sales, accounting, legal, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in creating and updating financial models (e.g., Argus, Excel) for investment and loan underwriting.
• Conduct property-level and market-level research to support investment and lending decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a strong interest in commercial real estate markets.

DESIRED:

• Desire to learn underwriting, modeling, and financial analysis.
• Exposure to the primary property types, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, and lodging.
• Knowledge of Salesforce or a comparable customer relationship management platform.
