Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is offering a Process Analytics Intern role to support the Technology Delivery team in identifying and improving operational workflows across IT Asset Management, Infrastructure Projects, and PMO functions.

You will map processes, collect data, and develop documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to validate changes and build performance dashboards using Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and budgeting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Map and analyze current business processes across Technology Delivery programs (ITAM, Infrastructure, PMO).
• Collect and interpret operational data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support development of process documentation, including flowcharts, SOPs, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and validate proposed changes.
• Participate in pilot projects and process improvement initiatives including intake workflows and lifecycle tracking.
• Help build dashboards and reports using Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to visualize performance and impact.
• Contribute to standardization of terminology and data collection for forecasting and workload planning.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to strategic pillar discussions (lifecycle management, ROI, compliance).

QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations.Position SummaryThe Process Analytics Intern will support the Technology Delivery team in identifying, analyzing, and improving operational workflows across IT Asset Management, Infrastructure Projects, and PMO functions.
