Responsibilities

• Support the Insurance Service Center team's inquiries from dealers, repair facilities, retail customers and lienholders.
• Assist with customer service tasks, vehicle service contracts and GAP related information.
• Participate in internship activities, orientation, mentoring, and end-of-assignment presentation.

Work Schedule

Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. The Details

• Internship Program Timing: May 25 - July 30, 2027
• 40 hours each week with a mix of in‑office and remote working days
• Project‑based work
• Market competitive hourly compensation and a sign‑on bonus, as well as financial housing assistance for those who qualify
• Successful interns will have the opportunity to return to Ally in an Early Talent Program or full‑time role, or to a second internship, depending upon graduation timing.

The Work Itself – Areas of Opportunity

Insurance Service Center - Mechanical Claim Specialists - this team manages inquiries from dealers, independent repair facilities, retail customers and lienholders involving Vehicle Service Contracts (VSC) and Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) claims, cancellations, and general information. Responsibilities including meeting all customer service, quality, and loss cost control objectives.

The Qualifications We're Looking For

• Program Eligibility: Must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2029
• Rising Junior or Senior (during the time of internship)
• Major/Course of Study: Automotive Technology or related field.
• Available for the full duration of the internship program.
• Eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
• Preferred Qualifications: Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrates Analytical Thinking, Collaboration, Learning Agility.
• Minimum Qualifications: 0+ years of experience
• High school Diploma or GED equivalent

Compensation

Base Pay Range $25.00 - $33.00
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
