Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a DevOps Engineer Intern in Grapevine, TX, with a hybrid schedule and on-site collaboration. The ideal candidate will be entering their senior year or final semester after summer 2027, working to maintain big data systems automation and cloud management tooling.

You will script in Python and Bash, assist with distributed systems upkeep, troubleshoot customer issues, and participate in QA testing in a fast-paced small business environment.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, but not required on day one; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Working towards a Bachelor's degree with at least 60% of the required credits completed in Computer Science or related field.
• Familiarity with Bash scripting, Git, AWS, Kubernetes, and Linux command line.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and upkeep of distributed computing systems and configuration management automation.
• Scripting in Python and Bash for automation and feature development.
• Troubleshooting customer reported issues in applications and providing support.

Will work a hybrid schedule with some on-site work with the team.

• Scripting in languages such as Python and Bash for automation and development of product features.
• Troubleshooting customer reported issues in applications and providing support.
• Engage in quality assurance testing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Clearance Requirement: Must obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, but not required on day one; U.S. Citizenship required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with at least 60% of the required credits completed. Degree must be in Computer Science or related field.
• Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or other containerization technologies.
• Comfortable working on a Linux command line.
• Self-motivated – a strong desire to find and address gaps in execution or capability without explicit direction.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize open issues/ tickets accordingly.
• Problem solving skills and ability to review information and compile data appropriately as needed.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Grapevine, TX office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.

Preferred Requirements

• Prior technical internship experience is a big plus.
• A Security+ certification is a plus, but not required.
