Job summary

QTS Realty Trust's summer internship program gives hands-on exposure to the fast-paced data center industry, with site-based activities and weekly lunches. interns work on real objectives across data center life-cycle and operations, including PLC automation and IT tool optimization.

You'll build relationships, track deliverables, budgets, and schedules while gaining experience in Python, Java, C++, and analytics tools like Tableau and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

QTS' summer internship program will provide you first hand experience into the fast paced world of the data center industry by providing weekly lunch and learns, a comprehensive orientation program, and site based activities, socials and volunteering events. Every intern will be assigned initiatives tied to real QTS objectives helping with anything pertaining to the whole life-cycle of a data center build and/or company operations.The DCIM Software Engineering intern has two potential scopes of responsibility. On the PLC software design side, the individual will gain valuable exposure to collaborating with a team working on automation solution based tools to be leveraged across the organization. For those more interested in the Project Management side, you'd act as a Project Analyst, reporting to a PM, tracking deliverables, organizing data, and performing research around topics as necessary.
