Job summary

West Bend Insurance Company offers a summer internship for college seniors pursuing a career in the insurance industry. Interns will receive training in product lines and gain exposure to real-world underwriting practices.

The internship is in-office with no remote opportunities, located in Madison, WI or West Bend, WI. Participants will experience cross-functional assignments across Claims, Loss Control, Accounting and Sales to build practical skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Work Location

This position is an in-office role located in Madison, WI or West Bend, WI. No remote opportunities for this position are available at this time.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The role will assist in operations such as quoting new business, processing renewals, and contributing to various underwriting projects that impact profitability. The program also offers a broad view of our organization through cross-functional experiences with departments such as Claims, Loss Control, Accounting and Sales.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably Risk Management & Insurance, Business or Math(rising senior status in Summer of 2026 is highly preferred)

Salary Statement

The hourly rate for this position is $21.00.
