Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) invites students to apply for the Summer 2027 Internship/Co-Op (Engineering). Internships are available in Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, Memphis, plus other TVA service locations in MS and AL.

Civil engineering interns will work alongside experienced engineers to ensure plans and machines run safely and efficiently and could perform tasks such as structural and civil engineering design calculations or provide support and inspections for power generating plants.
Mechanical engineering interns will work with a team to provide input towards technical decisions with the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of power producing equipment.
Electrical engineering interns will help engineers plan and maintain reliable interconnected transmission and telecommunication systems.
Nuclear engineering interns will support TVA’s nuclear units by ensuring the reactors operate as designed.
Preferred majors: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Nuclear Engineering.
Intern will develop an understanding of the assigned business unit, as it relates to its functional purpose and will learn standard work, strategies, philosophies, programs, and initiatives within the organization.

Seeking majors in Engineering disciplines, Data Analytics, Business-related disciplines, Computer Science/IT, and other related degrees. Must be currently enrolled in a college/university program at the time of internship. Must have 30 semester hours completed.
