Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Clinical Affairs intern to contribute to clinical research programs and interact with leaders across R&D, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs. You will gain exposure to the regulated clinical research landscape while applying classroom knowledge on real-world projects.

You will assist with literature reviews, clinical intelligence, and monitoring activities alongside Clinical Research Associates, while developing essential communication and teamwork skills in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled after internship.
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with R&D Engineering, Project Management, Health Care Solutions, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs to support clinical research programs.
• Perform clinical intelligence activities to understand treatment options and clinical studies.
• Accompany Clinical Research Associate to monitor data at investigative sites.
• Prepare literature review summaries for evaluation of current clinical outcomes.
• Shadow CRAs at cross-functional meetings to learn the collaborative development process of clinical trials.

Opportunities Available

As a Clinical Affairs intern at Stryker, you will:

• Work cross functionally with different departments including R&D Engineering, Project Management, Health Care Solutions, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs to assist in clinical research programs and develop a broad understanding of the regulated clinical research landscape
• Perform clinical intelligence activities to ensure a thorough understanding of available treatment options and clinical studies
• Accompany Clinical Research Associate to monitor clinical data at clinical investigative sites
• Prepare literature review summaries for comprehensive evaluation of current clinical outcomes in recent published trials
• Shadow Clinical Research Associates at cross functional team meetings to gain exposure to the collaborative development process associated with executing a clinical trial.

$20 min hourly wage – $35 max hourly wage, sign-on bonus, 11 paid holidays annually, and either paid corporate housing or a living stipend, dependent upon hiring location

What You Need

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; must remain enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the internship.
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above (verified at time of hire)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to collaborate and build relationships
• Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eagerness to learn in a dynamic environment.
