Job summary

LPU Batangas seeks a motivated intern to collect, organize, and analyze supplier quality data, supporting improvements in supplier performance for our chemical operations.

You will assist in root cause analysis, update supplier data, and prepare reports and presentations detailing findings and recommendations. This role offers hands-on exposure to Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical tools while collaborating with multiple quality and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in one of the specified fields.
• Active enrollment during internship and for at least one semester after.
• Willingness to work 40 hours/week for 10–12 weeks between May and August.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Collect, organize, and analyze supplier quality and performance data from multiple sources.
• Evaluate supplier performance trends related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and corrective actions.
• Assist in root cause analysis of supplier response to Performance scorecards.
• Review and update supplier master data to add a Quality Contact for each supplier.
• Support supplier corrective action tracking and follow-up activities.
• Complete reports and project presentations outlining analysis, findings, and recommendations.
• Drive and support the raw material Out of Specification (OOS) inflow reduction process.

About You

• Strong analytical skills.
• Interest in quality, manufacturing, and supply chain operations for a chemical plant.
• Attention to detail with ability to document new processes and procedures.
• Self-starter who proactively identifies new opportunities to drive efficiencies in Supplier Product Quality and Service Quality.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills for interactions with Global Supplier Quality, Site Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams.
• Strong computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint; Minitab or other statistical analysis tool preferred.
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent field of study.
• Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the internship.
• Availability for 40 hours a week for 10-12 weeks between May and August.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay range: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour, determined by education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
