Job summary

McClelland Consulting Engineers (MCE), an ESP Company, is seeking a student in engineering or landscape architecture to assist with planning and design using topographic data and design software in Rogers, AR. You will contribute to reports, drawings, cost estimates, and schedules under supervision.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, attention to detail, and collaboration with supervisors and staff. Travel is limited to local visits to jobsites when needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, tests, aerial photographs, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographic and geologic data to plan and design projects.
  • Calculates cost, determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data, and prepares detailed cost estimates.
  • Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to create design documents.
  • Prepares and modifies reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project.
  • Meets periodically to coordinate changes, inform of additional requirements, receive input, answer questions, and resolve issues.
  • Coordinates project activity with supervisor and support staff.
  • Researches regulations, products, and design techniques to provide answers.
  • Preparing illustrative hand and/or computer presentation renderings.
  • Preparing material and imagery boards, planting plans.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
