The role supports the design team with planning, cost estimation, and preparation of design documents for civil/land development projects. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a BS program in Engineering or Landscape Architecture, with strong attention to detail and skills in CAD (Auto CAD/Civil 3D), hand drawing, rendering, and Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, tests, aerial photographs, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographic and geologic data to plan and design projects
• Calculates cost, determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data, and prepares detailed cost estimates
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to create design documents
• Prepares and modifies reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project
• Meets periodically to coordinate changes, inform of additional requirements, receive input, answer questions, and resolve issues
• Coordinates project activity with supervisor and support staff
• Researches regulations, products, and design techniques to provide answers
• Preparing illustrative hand and/or computer presentation renderings
• Preparing material and imagery boards, planting plans
• Performs other duties as assigned
