Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc. is accepting applications for its 2027 Summer Internship Program in North Central Kansas, including Salina. 2027 Summer Internships

Great Plains Manufacturing

Great Plains Manufacturing, a Kubota Company, is currently accepting general applications for our 2027 Summer Internship Program. Internships will be based in one of the following communities in North Central Kansas: Abilene, Assaria, Lucas, Salina, or Tipton.

Interns will work full‑time from mid‑May to early‑August and earn $20 per hour. Housing is provided in Salina, KS for interns who currently reside outside the Salina area.

Each Summer Intern completes a project with a mentor and supportive peers, allowing them to apply their college knowledge in the workplace and gain practical work experience. We also organize activities during the summer to provide opportunities to connect with other interns and employees through casual events such as laser tag, paintball, bowling, and community events.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in a relevant Engineering or Business Major from a 4‑year accredited university
• Willingness to live within commuting distance of the assigned location, typically in the Salina, KS or Abilene, KS area for the duration of the Summer
  • Housing will be provided within a 30‑mile radius of your assigned location, if needed.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site (40 hours/week) during the Summer
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to the Salina, KS area and commute to and from work and activities throughout the Summer
• Successful completion of a pre‑employment physical examination and drug screening test within a week of your first day of employment
• Providing, upon your first day of employment, satisfactory proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States, and your completion of an Employment Eligibility Verification Form I‑9
