Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Savannah is offering a Summer 2027 internship in the Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) program. You will work with airworthiness engineers to support certification planning, compliance documentation, and regulatory activities across Gulfstream development projects.

You will gain exposure to FAA processes, review certification artifacts, and collaborate with engineering, program management, and regulators.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Completion of sophomore year is required prior to the internship start date.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (without rounding); must be listed on resume.
  • Rotation Requirements: Juniors - 2 rotations; Seniors & Graduate Students - 1 rotation.
  • Minimum duration: 12 weeks (summer); 14-16 weeks (spring and fall).
  • Must be onsite; this is not a remote position.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

  • Perform certification planning, compliance documentation, issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Support laboratory and flight test certification activities to demonstrate aircraft compliance with FAA regulations.
  • Assist certification engineers on Gulfstream development programs, FAA certification projects, and foreign validation activities.
  • Review technical documentation and certification artifacts under supervision.
  • Learn to apply regulatory requirements across the aircraft development lifecycle.
  • Develop professional communication and project coordination skills.

Summer 2027 - IEF - ODA Collegiate Intern in GAC Savannah

Unique Skills:
About the Position

Join the team for a Summer 2027 internship with the Organization Designation Authorization (ODA)! Airworthiness Engineers in the ODA work closely with engineering, program management, and regulatory authorities to support aircraft certification and ensure compliance with applicable FAA regulations and policies.

As an intern, you will gain exposure to the aircraft certification process and learn how regulatory requirements are applied throughout the development of new and modified aircraft. You will support certification planning, compliance documentation, issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination while contributing to laboratory and flight test certification activities that help demonstrate aircraft compliance with FAA regulations.

You will have opportunities to work with experienced certification engineers supporting Gulfstream aircraft development programs, FAA certification projects, and foreign validation activities.
