Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace, a division of General Dynamics, invites students to join the Flight Operations internship in Savannah, GA. You'll contribute on day one in projects across flight operations, safety systems, and analytics.

You'll work with leaders, complete assigned plans, and gain experience in engineering, aviation maintenance or related areas, with 12-16 week duration and onsite requirements. Applicants must be enrolled full-time, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time and pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding).
• Rotation requirements: Juniors - 2 rotations; Seniors & Graduate Students - 1 rotation.
• Minimum duration: 12 weeks (summer); 14-16 weeks (spring and fall).
• Must be onsite; this is not a remote position.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support Flight Operations to improve efficiency across Gulfstream fleets.
• Interface with Flight Operations leaders to complete projects improving processes and efficiencies.
• Complete projects covering flight safety systems, BI/analytics, flight operations, and aeronautical, mechanical, or systems engineering.
• Support efficient work practices and processes.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• This position will support the Gulfstream Flight Operations organization to improve efficiency across thecompany's Gulfstream fleet.
• Interns will interface with the Flight Operations Supervisor, Directors, Chief Pilots, Dispatch Senior Managerand VP of Flight Ops to complete projects that enhance processes and efficiencies for all mission-specificGulfstream fleets (e.g., production test, demonstration, Airborne Customer Support).
• Complete assigned projects and work plans that include - but are not limited to - flight safety systems, business intelligence/analytics, flight operations, and aeronautical, mechanical, or systems engineering.
• Support efficient work practices and processes.

Additional Functions

• Comply with safety rules and procedures.
• Ensure application of all Gulfstream regulations and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college aviation program such as pilot training, aircraft dispatch, business aviation, engineering technology (A&P technician), aviation maintenance or a related field.
• Knowledge and understanding of multiple operating systems and Microsoft Office suite is preferred.
