Summary

Huntington’s internship programs provide emerging talent with meaningful, hands‑on experience aligned to their area of study. Over the course of the interns’ time at Huntington, they gain exposure to key business functions across all segments of the organization. An intern’s experience should be focused on professional growth, skill development, and practical application of academic learning. Interns participate in a structured series of development opportunities, including interactions with senior leadership and career pathing insights. The experience also includes immersion in Huntington’s award‑winning culture through community involvement and team‑based activities. Internships at Huntington are designed to help students build a strong foundation for future career success while contributing to meaningful business initiatives.

Internship Opportunities At Huntington

Huntington offers internship opportunities for students who are currently enrolled in an academic program and seeking practical, hands‑on experience in their field of study. Internships take place during a defined period of time and are available across all business segments.

  • Rising juniors (Winter 2028 or Spring 2029 grads) may participate in Huntington's Foundations Program, an 8‑week, regionally focused experience where students partner directly with a manager and team, contribute to meaningful projects, build professional skills, and explore career opportunities across Huntington and the financial services industry.
  • Rising seniors (Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 grads) may participate in the Enterprise Internship Program, an 11‑week, role‑aligned experience where students work directly with a manager and team on meaningful business initiatives. In addition to hands‑on project work, participants gain exposure to executive leadership, participate in Huntington's innovation project, and build connections that may lead to future full‑time opportunities.
Human Resources Internship Overview

Within the Human Resources Segment, interns gain exposure to a wide variety of areas within the business. Students partner directly with professionals within their area of focus to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives while developing knowledge of specific Human Resources area of expertise. Opportunities for rising seniors are available within the Talent Acquisition, People Analytics, and HR Business Partner areas. Opportunities for a rising junior are available within the Talent Management space.

Successful candidates are curious, collaborative, and interested in learning more about careers in Human Resources.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to display a positive business presence with management and external personnel
  • A strong interest in Banking as a career
  • Relevant Majors: Human Capital Management, Human Resources, Psychology, general business degrees. Data degrees in the People Analytics space.
  • Preferred Skills & Interests: Interest in general human resources, talent, and people analytics.

Compensation Range

$21.00 - $25.00 Hourly

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Colleagues in Intern positions are eligible for paid holidays and Huntington’s retirement savings plan.
