Job summary

Aflac Asset Management, LLC (d.b.a. Aflac Global Investments) seeks a 2027 Global Investments (NY) Compliance Intern for a 10-week hybrid internship in New York, focusing on sustainable investment integration and data-driven decision making.

You will interact with senior management, work on market and economic analyses, and contribute to investment projects across U.S. and Japan operations. Housing stipend may be provided for non-local candidates.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
• Degree Focus: Law, Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Data or Business Analytics, or similar degree programs
• Actively pursuinging an undergraduate or graduate degree
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
• Basic understanding of financial statements
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• All candidates must have eligibility to work permanently in the U.S. and must be physically located in the continental U.S. for the duration of internship; EST NYC working time zone
• Worker Designation: hybrid work schedule – minimum of 3 days per week and excited to have in-person learning for the summer of 2027

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with all aspects of an insurance asset manager with emphasis on relevant news and data interpretation
• Support analysis and reporting of the Company’s commitments and objectives (PRI, CDP, TCFD)
• Help integrate environmental and social analysis into the investment process
• Learn and support the company’s responsible investing framework and public commitments
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk management to establish governance and controls
• Learn industry trends and sustainability practices relevance to the Company
• Maintain large data sets and identify trends to guide investment decisions
• Interact with trading, quantitative, strategy, and research groups in Global Investments and other departments
• Attend company/department meetings and deliver written and verbal presentations
