Job summary

Citrin Cooperman & Company, LLP is seeking a Forensic Advisory Services Intern to join our Advisory Department in Philadelphia, NYC, or Miami offices. This internship provides exposure to forensic accounting within a dynamic, professional environment.

The program runs during the busy season with internships starting in January and ending in April/May for the Winter program, and an 8-week in-person Summer program starting in June.

Qualifications

  • Current junior or senior expected to graduate with a BS or applying for a 5-year Master’s in finance, accounting, business or applied economics.
  • Completed coursework in accounting, finance or economics.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
  • Highly motivated with analytical abilities including accounting, financial analysis and modeling.
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work cooperatively with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide forensic accounting services for a wide array of engagements focusing on economic damage analyses, intellectual property disputes, purchase price disputes, fraud investigations and internal investigations.
  • Ability to gather, organize, understand, analyze and summarize supporting documentation in a clear and concise manner.
  • Read, understand, and interpret financial statements and other financial records to perform relevant financial analyses.
  • Understand, develop and utilize computer models to streamline detailed and complex information into clear and concise analyses.
  • Assist with the preparation of exhibits and reports for expert witness testimony.
  • Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct.

We are looking for a Forensic Advisory Services Intern to join our Advisory Department in our Philadelphia, New York City, or Miami office location. As a Forensic Advisory Services Intern, you will be responsible for providing excellent client service. The Winter Internship Program is during our busy season, usually beginning early January and ending in April or May depending on your department. The Summer Internship Program is an 8‑week long program in-person, usually beginning early June and ending late July depending on your department.
