Responsibilities

• Electrical design tasks including circuit design and power electronics.
• PCBA development including schematic capture and board bring-up.
• Embedded firmware programming for microcontrollers and real-time systems.
• Prototyping and manufacturing support from prototype to production.
• Testing setups, experiments, data analysis, and validation of electrical systems.
• Power distribution, controls, sensing, and signal conditioning.
• Systems integration with mechanical, embedded, and autonomous components.
• Use of circuit simulation and PCB design tools for development.

The Role

Mach'sSummer 2027Engineering Internship, Electrical is open for future engineers and builders who want to work with us. This is a paid, in-person, 12-week internship.
Depending on your background and team placement, you might work on:

Electrical design— circuit design, power electronics, PCB/PCBA development, and electrical architecturesfor next-generationsystems

PCBA development— schematic capture, PCBlayout, component selection, board bring-up, debugging, and designfor manufacturing

Embedded systems— firmware, microcontrollers, real-time systems, sensors, and interfacesfor hardware platforms

Prototyping & manufacturing— building, assembling, reworking, and iteratingon electrical hardwarefrom prototype throughproduction

Testing & validation— developing test setups, running experiments, analyzingdata, and validatingelectrical systems underdemanding conditions

Power & controls— power distribution, motorcontrol, sensing, signalconditioning, and controlsystems

Systems integration— integrating electrical hardware with mechanical, embedded, autonomous, and other systemcomponents

Engineering tools & analysis— circuit simulation, PCBdesign tools, automatedtesting, data analysis, and infrastructure thataccelerates electricaldevelopment

What We're Looking For

Enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in electrical or a related engineering discipline

Intellectual curiosity and the drive to own problems end-to-end

Genuine interest in defense technology, national security, or the future of autonomous systems

• Ability to complete in an in-person 12-week internship in one of our offices in summer 2027

Additional Requirements

• Available to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Pay Range

$30 - $55 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
