Job summary

Hendrickson invites energetic engineering students to join our Summer Internship program in Woodridge, IL. Interns will gain hands-on experience in a real-world engineering environment, supporting our team with data collection, analysis, and exposure to NX/TeamCenter workflows.

You must be enrolled in an accredited engineering degree, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, and be prepared to learn machining processes, drawings, and validation methods.

• Active enrollment in an engineering degree program
• GPA 3.0 or better

Responsibilities

• Acclimate to Unigraphics NX and TeamCenter.
• Learn standard engineering processes and tools.
• Understand machining processes, castings, and steel forming.
• Read documentation and drawings.
• Relate drawings to fixtures.
• Gain exposure to the validation engineering group.
• Assist with data collection, analysis, and basic FEA.
• Support fatigue, ride/handling, and reliability testing.
• Work in Validation's R&D Lab for hands-on testing if assigned.

Looking for some hands‑on, real world engineering experience? Hendrickson is searching for Summer Interns to join their engineering team in Woodridge, IL.

Essential Functions

• Become acclimated with Unigraphics NX and TeamCenter
• Learn standard company engineering processes and tools
• Gain an understanding of machining processes, castings, steel forming
• Gain an understanding of how to read documentation and drawings
• Learn how drawings correlate to fixtures
• Gain an exposure to the validation engineering group and again an understanding of that part of the development process
• Depending on their assigned programs, see assignments consisting of collecting and analyzing data, introduction to FEA, fatigue calculations, exposure to ride and handling, vehicle dynamics, reliability testing, and statistics
• Students may also spend time in our Validation's R&D Lab doing hands‑on testing if the assigned program calls for it

Education and Training

Students who are pursuing an engineering degree at an accredited college or university are eligible to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

• To be considered for a summer internship you must be actively enrolled in an engineering degree program with an accredited college or university
• Students must hold a GPA of 3.0 or better.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range for this position is $21.00-25.00 per hour based on the student's grade classification. This pay range is provided to ensure transparency and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
