Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. is seeking a Summer 2027 Engineering Intern for Greenville, NC. You will own a real project, receive mentorship, and build professional skills through onboarding, training, and career coaching to launch your career.

As an Engineering Intern, you won't just observe; you'll drive your work with support from a manager and team, culminating in a final presentation to company leaders.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Drive to learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

As an Engineering Intern, you won't just spend your summer shadowing others or working on administrative tasks. You'll own a project or business initiative that supports real business objectives and delivers measurable impact. After learning the fundamentals of the role through onboarding, training, and mentorship, you'll be trusted to drive your work forward with the support of your manager and team. At the end of the summer, you'll showcase your accomplishments and business impact through a final presentation to company leaders, giving you visibility and exposure beyond your immediate team. Specific projects vary by team and will be discussed during the interview process. Beyond your project experience, you'll participate in a collaborative internship program designed to help you grow both professionally and personally. Through networking events, professional development opportunities, career coaching, business acumen sessions, site tours, volunteer activities, and intern events, you'll gain valuable insight into the manufacturing industry while building relationships across the organization. This is a paid summer internship located in Greenville, NC.
