Job summary

Blue Origin invites graduate students to join a hands-on internship across avionics, software, hardware-in-the-loop, propulsion systems, and more. You will work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects supporting our business units and gain real-world experience in a spaceflight environment.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program with at least one semester/quarter remaining after the internship.
  • Available to work full time for 15 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for space.

Intern Project Focus

As part of a hardworking team, interns work directly with Blue engineering teams on projects in support of our business units. Projects may involve many aspects of applied electronics and electrical engineering including avionics hardware (from PCBs to electrical systems), software, hardware in the loop, instrumentation & controls, system test, power systems, communication systems, mechanical systems, propulsion systems, manufacturing, and systems engineering. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Internship Experience

During your internship experience, you can expect to: Gain hands on, real-world experience. Receive mentorship and feedback from mentors and managers. Participate in events to learn about other parts of our organization.

Housing and Relocation

We offer housing and relocation support. Interns are responsible for daily transportation to and from their work locations.

Hourly Compensation

Hourly compensation for applicant is: $38.00
