Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking participants for the Summer 2027 Enterprise Data Governance (EDGO) Undergraduate Internship in Pittsburgh. The role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise data governance, data quality, metadata management, analytics, AI governance, and healthcare data operations within the Enterprise Data Governance Office.

Interns will work with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and technology teams across data domains.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.

Responsibilities

• Support Data Governance initiatives and document Critical Data Elements (CDEs).
• Research business definitions and data requirements.
• Analyze governance and data quality metrics and maintain governance documentation.
• Support governance working sessions and contribute to dashboards and reporting tools.
• Document data lineage and participate in process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Engage in mentorship, project-based learning, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop a foundation in enterprise data governance and healthcare data management.
