Job summary

Amplify seeks a detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern for a 10-week summer program. This paid internship is remote with a mandatory 2-day in-person experience at Amplify HQ in Brooklyn, NY. You’ll work with data to support educators, students, and families, building dashboards and reports.

Ideal candidates are pursuing undergrad or graduate studies, with SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools, and a passion for EdTech. This role offers mentorship and real-world analytics experience.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and returning Fall 2027.
• Full-time availability from June 7, 2027 through August 13, 2027.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to synthesize information, identify themes, and communicate insights clearly.
• Knowledge of and interest in K-12 education technology.

Responsibilities

• Support the collection, cleaning, and organization of large datasets to ensure accuracy across teams.
• Identify trends, patterns, and insights to inform business and product decisions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop dashboards and data visualizations.
• Assist with ad hoc analyses, A/B tests, and reporting across Amplify’s product suite.
• Contribute to internal documentation, data dictionaries, and analytical frameworks.
• Track key performance metrics to monitor product health and learning outcomes.

Amplify is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Data Analytics Intern to join our team this summer and help us build data-informed experiences for the educators, students, and families who use our innovative educational products. This paid, remote 10-week internship offers the chance to make a real impact on products used by millions of students and teachers.

If you're comfortable with data analysis, visualization, and structured reporting, and you're genuinely curious about how data drives K–12 learning outcomes, this could be a perfect fit for you. Though remote, interns will join a 2-day in-person experience at Amplify HQ in Brooklyn, NY. Throughout the program, interns will engage with Amplify's culture via product demos, team-building activities, and engagement initiatives, plus grow through a virtual speaker series featuring Amplify executives, additional product demos, and dedicated mentorship.

While our summer intern roles are remote positions, interns must be authorized to work in the US, reside in the US for the internship's duration, and be available full-time for the entire program, June 7 – August 13, 2027.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Support the collection, cleaning, and organization of large datasets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability across teams

• Help identify trends, patterns, and insights within student, educator, and product usage data to inform business and product decisions

• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Assist with the design and execution of ad hoc analyses, A/B tests, and performance reporting across Amplify's product suite

• Contribute to internal documentation, data dictionaries, analytical frameworks, and reporting presentations

• Track key performance metrics to help teams monitor product health, user engagement, and learning outcomes

Basic Qualifications for this Amplify Internship:

• Education: Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, returning to school in Fall 2027

• Full-time availability to participate from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to synthesize information, identify themes, and communicate insights clearly

• Knowledge of and interest in the K–12 education technology field

Preferred Qualifications for Data Analytics Interns:

• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating relational databases

• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms

• Background in statistical analysis, data wrangling, or exploratory data analysis — academic or professional

• Interest in product analytics, business intelligence, learning analytics, or data storytelling

• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams

• Comfort with Python or R for data analysis; grounding in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus

• Understanding of data governance, data quality best practices, or analytics engineering principles
