Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on public equity and credit managers, culminating in a capstone presentation to Valeo’s Investment Committee summarizing key findings.
• Conduct due diligence on alternative investment managers and private market opportunities.
• Participate in team discussions of macroeconomic and fundamental trends and contribute to investment decision‑making processes.
• Support Valeo’s centralized fixed income trading desk through client reporting, relative value analysis, and portfolio proposals.
• Attend team meetings, investment presentations, and training sessions.
• Query, clean, and analyze advisor and client data.
• Support Investment Team operations through data entry, database maintenance, documentation, and other ad hoc projects.
• Perform investment and portfolio analysis utilizing Excel, Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, and other research tools.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information?

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment?

High level of attention to detail and accuracy?

Excellent written and verbal communication skills?

Strong computer skills, specifically advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products?

Foundational industry knowledge is preferred along with pursuing the CFA designation?

Working knowledge of Bloomberg and Morningstar Direct is not required, but is considered a plus?

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, mathematics, or a related field?

Strong interest in investment management, asset allocation, and public and private markets?
