Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, or related fields required.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP platforms and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python or similar data tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead short term and long term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial reporting for accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist the CFO in long-term financial planning, including capital allocation and investment strategies.

• Monitor and analyze financial performance and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance to implement new financial systems and processes.
• Develop and maintain live automated financial dashboards for Valeo leadership.

To support our continued growth and evolving business needs, we are seeking a Finance Manager who will serve as a strategic partner to leadership while overseeing key financial processes that drive informed decision-making and operational effectiveness.

The Finance Manager reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and plays a key role in both the day-to-day management of financial operations and the execution of the firm's financial strategy. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, leading budgeting and forecasting processes, developing financial models and pro forma analyses, and partnering with departments across the organization to evaluate financial performance. The Finance Manager will help ensure efficient financial operations while delivering data-driven insights that support business growth and strategic decision-making.

This position requires regular in-person attendance at our Carmel, Indiana headquarters.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the short term and long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ultimately providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership
• Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial reporting for the organization, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
• Assist the CFO in long-term financial planning, including capital allocation and investment strategies
• Develop and manage financial models and scenario planning to assess potential business opportunities and risks
• Partner with division leadership to drive financial performance, cost control, and margin optimization
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, making recommendations for improvements or corrective actions
• Collaborate with the Finance team to implement new financial systems and processes
• Analyze trends and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior leadership
• Update capitalization tables and report on ownership changes
• Work cross-functionally with advisor development, and operations teams while consistently looking to improve and streamline processes through standardization and automation
• Contribute in the development and maintenance of a comprehensive live semi/fully automated financial dashboards accessible to Valeo leadership

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required
• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or related fields required
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis
• Experience developing and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to support business decision-making
• Proficiency with financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python, or other data analytics and visualization tools preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights
• Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
