TSMC Arizona is looking for a Facilities Instrumentation & Controls Engineering intern to join our 4-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. As a Facilities I&C Engineering intern, you will demonstrate a strong sense of reliability and enthusiasm and will possess an attitude that embodies our core values – Integrity, Commitment, Innovation and Customer Trust.

TSMC Arizona’s Facilities organization is responsible for operating and maintaining electrical, mechanical, chemical, water and industrial automation systems across more than 4 million sq-ft of office, cleanroom and industrial space.

Job Description:

Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Responsible for system design, configuration, integration, implementation, repairing, and troubleshooting facility PLC and SCADA systems.
  2. This includes calibration of system instrumentation field devices, management of PLC control panels, ladder logic, field instrumentation loops, network communications, alarm management and SCADA system.
  3. Other special projects relevant to the section.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

  1. Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university in a Bachelors/Masters in Electronics, Data Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or Controls/Instrumentation related field.
  2. Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site at our Phoenix location, from:
    • Semester system: May 19th, 2025– August 1st, 2025
    • Quarter system: June 16th, 2025 -- August 29th, 2025
  3. Understanding of BMS or FMCS
  4. Team player, good communication skills, ability to handle ambiguity
