Copper Mountain Resort is a vacation destination located 75 miles west of Denver, Colorado in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Three vibrant, pedestrian-friendly village areas host lodging, retail outlets, restaurants, bars, and family activities. During the winter months, Copper's world-class terrain offers skiing and riding for all ages and abilities. Each summer, the mountain transforms into a playground for hikers, mountain bikers, and anyone seeking a genuine Colorado experience. Copper Mountain Resort is also home to Woodward Copper action-sports camps, programs, and training facility.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $17.50 to $19.10+ actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.

Job Summary:

Food Court Crewmembers play a key role in ensuring smooth operations both in front and back of house. This position involves rotating through a variety of tasks, including—but not limited to—providing exceptional guest service, bussing indoor and outdoor dining areas, clearing trays, assisting with compost and recycling efforts, operating the cash register, preparing food and beverages (including barista duties), grilling, running food, merchandising, and stocking inventory. Other responsibilities include dishwashing, trash removal, snow removal, maintaining cleanliness, and monitoring inventory levels to ensure par stock is met.

Must be eager to learn and demonstrate an understanding of personal hygiene, safe food handling practices, and basic culinary skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Arrive to work on time and prepared for your shift.

Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and work well with others.

Provide exceptional guest service by consistently striving to exceed expectations.

Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.

Take full ownership of your role and responsibilities.

Complete assigned tasks efficiently and in a timely manner.

Show flexibility and willingness to assist with all aspects of daily operations.

Guest Service Duties:

Foster a collaborative, respectful work environment through teamwork and support.

Maintain a clean and organized service and seating area; bus tables promptly.

Ensure guests have everything they need for an enjoyable experience.

Proactively clean and reset tables and spaces as needed.

Answer guest questions clearly and courteously.

Create a welcoming atmosphere by smiling and engaging in friendly conversation.

Ensure the restaurant is fully prepared and presentable at opening time.

Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout your shift.

Assist in overall cleanliness of the building.

Restock condiments, paper products, and merchandise as needed.

Greet and serve guests in a prompt, friendly, and professional manner.

Anticipate guest needs and deliver a high standard of service.

Use suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.

Handle cash and perform cash reconciliation accurately.

Follow the proper sequence of service as outlined for the specific location.

Basic Requirements:

Must be fluent in English

High school diploma or GED preferred.

TIPS certification preferred; can be obtained after employment.

Must be at least 18 years of age (required for the sale of alcoholic beverages).

Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand for extended periods, including nights, weekends, and holidays during special events.

Flexible availability to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to safely and comfortably navigate stairs.

Must be able to hear normal conversations in busy and noisy environments.

Must have normal vision (with or without correction) to read information and perform job duties safely.

Manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment and utensils effectively.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.

Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized under pressure.

Frequent use of the senses of taste and smell is required.

Must be able to use hands and arms continuously for the entire shift.

Peripheral, color, and depth perception are essential for safety and performance.

Must provide and wear non-slip shoes.

Preferred Experience and Special Skills:

Experience with accurate cash handling and basic point-of-sale operations.

Ability to develop foundational culinary skills, such as basic prep techniques and safe, competent knife handling.

Previous experience in a food court, restaurant, or quick-service restaurant (QSR) setting is highly desirable.
