Job Title: Summer Camp Counselor – Pickleball Focus

Location: The Sandy Pickle, 5683 Village Glen Dr, Dallas, TX 75206

Position Type: Seasonal (Summer 2025)

Compensation: $15–$25 per hour (commensurate with experience)

About The Sandy Pickle

The Sandy Pickle is a premier pickleball facility in Dallas, dedicated to promoting the sport among all age groups. Our summer camp program aims to introduce children aged 7–14 to pickleball in a fun, safe, and engaging environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Camp Counselors with a passion for pickleball and youth development. Counselors will lead daily activities, teach pickleball fundamentals, and ensure the safety and well-being of campers.

Key Responsibilities

• Pickleball Instruction: Teach basic to intermediate pickleball skills, including rules, techniques, and sportsmanship.
• Supervision: Oversee campers during all activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
• Activity Planning: Develop and implement engaging activities that promote teamwork and skill development.
• Safety Compliance: Administer first aid as needed and adhere to all safety protocols.
• Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with campers, parents, and staff.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience: Prior experience working with children aged 7–14 in a camp or educational setting.
• Pickleball Proficiency: Strong understanding of pickleball rules and techniques.
• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Background Check: Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Availability: Must be available for the entire camp duration, including training sessions.
• Monday – Friday: 8am-3pm throughout June, July and August
