PVS is seeking a Sulfuric Operator to safely and efficiently manage Spent Acid Regeneration, Sulfur Contact, Oleum, and Sodium Bisulfite processes in the Buffalo, NY area. The role emphasizes adherence to OSHA PSM, Responsible Care, and incident/near-miss investigations.

Candidates must demonstrate strong mechanical, math, instrument, and safety skills. Responsibilities include process adjustments, alarm response, permit administration, maintenance coordination, and proactive communication with

Formación

• Operator training as directed by supervisor
• Ability to read and follow written instructions
• Basic computer skills and theory
• Capacity to memorize and recall procedures accurately
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts and overtime
• Physically able to lift 50 pounds and wear respirator

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate sulfuric processes (Spent Acid Regeneration, Sulfur Contact plant, Oleum, Sodium Bisulfite)
• Adjust processes to optimize operation within established limits
• Respond to alarms and unsafe conditions
• Conduct safety analyses and adhere to LOTO/JSAs
• Coordinate with maintenance and laboratory for sampling and recordkeeping
• Perform housekeeping and equipment inspections
• Support shutdowns and turnarounds during maintenance
• Record process data and log events; rotate site manager duties as needed
