Position Summary

The Suite Attendant is responsible for serving guests in the Suites. The Suite Attendant must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment.

The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00 and is tip eligible.

This position will remain open until August 8, 2025.

About the Venue

Polar Park is a baseball park in Worcester, Massachusetts, serving as the home of the Worcester Red Sox, a Minor League Baseball team competing at the Triple-A level and an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Opened for the 2021 Triple-A season, it has a seating capacity of 9,508 people.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in setting up food service areas within specific suites based on pre-orders.
  2. Ensure all assigned suites are prepared prior to events based on received communication of orders.
  3. Organize and prepare for events in assigned locations.
  4. Assist in closing out financials of individual suites.
  5. Monitor and maintain food quality.
  6. Follow all company policies and procedures, uphold safety and sanitation standards, and create a positive atmosphere for team members and guests.
  7. Monitor and enforce safe alcohol policies and procedures.
  8. Maintain inventory control and fulfill product requisitions.
  9. Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments.
  10. Supervise the service of beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages.
  11. Check guest IDs to verify minimum age for alcohol purchase.
  12. Observe guests and respond to additional requests.
  13. Ensure suites have all necessary serving ware.
  14. Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards.
  15. Demonstrate excellent attendance.
  16. Ensure equipment is operable and clean before events.
  17. Recognize visibly intoxicated guests and take appropriate action.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills in English with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by regulations.
  • Handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Perform basic math functions related to transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in food & beverage or customer service roles.
