Job Title: Warehouse Shift Supervisor

The Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Warehouse Shift Supervisor to assist in the management of the sugar warehouse and packaging operations at the Amalgamated factory in Nampa, ID.

The Warehouse Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety of employees and the safe operation of all machinery and equipment used during their shift. They supervise employees engaged in manufacturing processes and ensure adherence to food safety and product quality protocols related to the packaging, storing, and shipping of sugar.

Additional Responsibilities include:

• Participating in incident investigations related to safety, food quality, and employee issues, and completing incident reports.
• Supervising offsite loading operations after hours.
• Managing daily employee timekeeping using the UKG system.
• Calling in employees when shorthanded and holding over if necessary.
• Completing evaluations for shift employees.
• Achieving production targets and providing explanations for any shortfalls.
• Coordinating resources with maintenance personnel and operators to meet/exceed production goals.
• Providing training to shift employees and verifying completion of training documentation.
• Holding weekly toolbox and safety meetings.
• Completing daily sugar production reports.
• Ensuring packaging and labeling meet internal and customer requirements.
• Reporting maintenance issues to management.
• Communicating effectively with other Warehouse Shift Supervisors and attending mill shift change meetings.
• Fostering teamwork and collaboration internally and externally.
• Collaborating with Plant, Facility, and Engineering Managers to resolve warehouse operation issues.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience managing a team.
• Experience in warehouse, production, and rotating shift management preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, including some holidays with compensated time off.
• Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and ethical behavior.
• Creative, assertive, energetic self-starter.
